AXIS Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival 2011 is the seventh edition of Indonesia’s pride of a jazz festival. Music enthusiasts (especially from the jazz genre) make sure that they mark their schedule on 4, 5 and 6 March 2011 as the days when the world’s largest jazz festival is held. The venue: JIExpo Kemayoran.
The rationale behind this change is to bring the event at par with other international festivals. This renaming is also to capitalize on the destination Borneo, a name which conjurs images of a magical destination. The event will be held at the Parkcity Everly Hotel, Miri from May 13-14, 2011.
The Seventh Edition of The Penang Island Jazz Festival will this year be held from the 2nd to 5th of December 2010 and feature more than 190 musicians on one (1) Main Stage, four (4) Fringe Stages and the Big Band programme.
